Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County is proud to be affiliated with St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The relationship is a longstanding one, going back to the earliest days of the practice.
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is a 473-bed community teaching and referral hospital. It provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services with regional centers of excellence in cardiology, surgery, oncology, orthopedics, women’s and family services, behavioral health, senior health, and an array of specialized services.
In February 2010, St. Vincent’s opened the Elizabeth Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care, a 125,000 square foot building designed to consolidate cancer prevention, diagnostic, treatment and survivorship services in one convenient and attractive location. The new building marks the most significant expansion project in the Medical Center’s 106-year history.
The physicians at GAFC provide daily coverage for many inpatients with gastroenterological issues as well as outpatients requiring specialized or complex procedures that must be performed in a hospital setting. Members of our group are active members of the medical staff and have served in many leadership roles within the hospital and the medical community.
