Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology is the field of medicine concerned with the function and disorders of the digestive system. Gastroenterologists are medical specialists with extensive training in disease of the digestive tract. They are equipped to answer your questions, to perform tests in making a diagnosis and to prescribe the best course of treatment to help you feel better. People with complicated conditions often benefit from being treated by a specialist who has handled a large number of similar cases.

Office Hours: Appointments can be scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you would like to schedule an appointment with one of our physicians, please call us at (203) 292-9000. We request that you make your appointments as far in advance as possible. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we may allot the time to another patient.

Patient emergencies sometimes occur which may interrupt the normal appointment schedule. If delays are likely to result, we will advise you as soon as possible and reschedule an appointment time that is most convenient for you.

We will do our best to reserve an appointment time for you that best meets your needs. If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know at least 48 hours in advance so that another patient with an urgent need might take the time slot and you can be rescheduled as soon as possible.

If we have less than 24 hours notice a $25 charge may be applied which must be paid before the appointment can be rescheduled.

Insurance Information Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield participates with most insurance plans in this area. We recommend that you call our office to verify whether we participate with your current plan or any that you are considering changing to. Please remember to bring your insurance identification card with you at the time of your visit and be prepared to make any required copayment.
